The Hand of the Small Town Builder
is
a book in progress, with a planned completion date of Fall 2009.
The
finished product will be a book of photography of late 19th to early 20th century
summer
houses, with commentary on the lives and backgrounds of the local
designers/builders
who made these beatutiful buildings.
This site is designed to provide general information on the project, to
allow
participants in the project to see progress on the work to date,
and also
to give examples of houses which typify the styles of houses I am
seeking.
